Boldenone (Equipoise) appears to be comparable to nandrolone in its potency. It lacks nandrolone’s advantage of being metabolically deactivated by 5a -reductase. It is only slightly estrogenic, and only after conversion to estrogen. Equipoise (Boldenone Undeclynate) was accidentally created in
an attempt to produce an injectable version of Dianabol with a slower rate of
conversion to estrogen. Eq does convert to estrogen (known as aromatization) but
at about half the rate of Testosterone. Although Eq has the same anabolic
rating, it is only half as androgenic highly as Testosterone.
Weight gain is usually higher with the use of Testosterone over Eq, although
strength gains are almost identical. This makes Eq a good choice as a hardening
agent, i.e. cutting drug. It is very rarely used as a bulking drug and typically
when its seen in a bulking cycle, it’s main use is as an appetite aid not a
bulking agent per say. As far as weight gain, Eq is known to produce similar
gains as Deca. Because of its long ester, a slow and constant buildup of quality
muscle, rather than quick, watery gains are seen with Eq. Just as with almost
any anabolic steroid, will cause suppression of your endogenous hormones, such
as endogenous LH, FSH, and testosterone.
Typically, people use this compound for at least 10 weeks, and 12 is often
preferred because of the very slow weight and strength gains associated with its
use. Equipoise is usually injected at a dose of between 400 and 600 mgs weekly.
Higher dosages do not produce any additional benefits. Eq is both readily
available and fairly inexpensive. Most underground labs offer their own version
of Equipoise.
